I Want To Slap These People

Whoever made these deserves to be slapped. Repeatedly. With a softball bat.

Copulation: 1. sexual intercourse; 2. a joining together or coupling

So, let me get this straight..this person wants copulation to occur on their copy machine? As long as the involved parties don’t weigh too much, of course. How difficult is it to learn the difference between ‘copulation’ and ‘cooperation’? Because there’s a difference.

Oh, the irony.

This right here does a fantastic job of promoting literacy. Just fantastic. Note the sarcasm.

This doesn’t even deserve a caption.

For some reason, I was under the impression that signs like this were proofread by more than one person before being printed onto a gigantic metal sheet and hung up on the side of the road. How many people do you think saw this before it was hung? Probably over a dozen. And apparently, none of them knew their grammar well enough to realize the mistake. Idiots.

I wanted to go too the store two buy to loaves of bread.

Wonder if whoever made this sign would catch the errors in my not-so-well crafted sentence? It’s pretty doubtful. Honestly, I learned the difference between two, to, and too back in the second grade. This is just a pathetic mistake.

I don’t apologize if I offended anyone. These mistakes shouldn’t be happening. Everyone in the United States has the opportunity to attend school, even if they’re an illegal alien. So the fact that SO MANY of these idiotic mistakes exist really frustrates me. It doesn’t say much for Americans. And the thing is, the sites that I found have even more pictures, and many of them are obviously from places that should have well-educated employees. I was under the impression that to do well and graduate from college, you had to have good writing skills. Either I was misinformed, or good writing skills no longer include a basic understanding of English grammar. And don’t even get me started on the fact that practically everyone who was responsible for these errors has access to spell-check.

Pathetic.

Moving on. I’m headed to bed… but I had to post my little rant before I’d be able to sleep!

xx Ashley

P.S… if there are any grammatical/spelling errors, feel free to ridicule me for the rest of my life. I’ll deserve it, if that’s the case.

The sound of my sisters snoring in their bedroom next door. How pleasant, eh?

  1. I am honored to have a member of the grammar squad “like” one of my posts. I like yours, too. I’ll be back.

Have something to say?
